I snagged this picture from Sheree’s myspace. He is so cute!! I can’t believe how big he is getting.
Adam is going out of town for the weekend, so we decided to have some family time today. We have some passes, so I hope we can come a lot this year. Micah loves everything, and their was only a few things he couldn’t go on. Grace was not really into it, but enjoyed playing around and eating snacks! It is great because it is not to large, or real crowded. They have really updated it and made it nicer, over the years.
They have a water area, which is really fun for the kids!
I went to the new cafe, Panera Bread at Sierra Vista Mall. It is a bakery and cafe. They have great sandwiches, salads, and soups. I had a Turkey club that was really good, and Sara had a Salad that looked amazing. They had a great little kids menu, (grilled cheese, deli sandwich, or Peanut Butter & Jelly) they all came with whole grain breads, and I think most was also organic (yogurt, juice). I thought the prices were reasonable as well. I would love to try some of their other menu items some time it all just looked so good. It has a great feel to it and everything looks so fresh and delicious. So, if you are into cafe’s, then I would give this one a try!
My brother got married in December, but they just gave me their pics, so I wanted to share them with you all.
We all had lunch at Zilfred’s. It is this great old restaurant on Blackstone. There is nothing fancy about it, but the food is great.
Adam, Micah, my Dad, and two brothers went camping for Father’s Day. They had a real blast!
Our dog was a little worn out by the trip!
My friend posted this on my My Space. It is so funny!!
Strawberry Pizza Tarts ( This pic was professionally taken by my husband. “Thanks hunny”)
This recipe made 12 mini tarts
2 rolls of sugar cookie dough
1 container of cool whip
1 package of cream cheese
Strawberries ( Large Costco Size)
1 packet of Strawberry Glaze mix (This tastes so much better then the premaid stuff)
I just pressed the dough into the tart pans, and baked at whatever temp the instructions said. The key is not to overcook your crust. You will probably cook it less then what the package says to. Cool, and then remove from tins. Each roll does about 6 tarts.
Just follow the instructions on the package. It is really simple. ( I got mine at Food For Less, in the produce area, where the salad dressings were.)
Add as much or as little glaze to your strawberries as desired.
Let the cream cheese soften a bit. With your mixer beat the Cool Whip and cream cheese till combined.
Slice and sprinkle with a little sugar.
Assembling the Tarts
Cream Cheese Filling
Strawberries (mixed with the glaze)
I like to prep everything ahead of time. I just put the cookie crusts in ziplocks to stay fresh. I chill all the other things. When I am about 20 min. or so away from serving them, then I put them together. I do this so it does not get to soggy. If you don’t do this make sure it is nice and chilled in the fridge.
