So Halloween was the night I first met Sarah. The Fall of 89. Our parents introduced us at our church harvest party, and we never parted ways. I was a bee, and she was a cheer leader. It has come full circle this year, with her little Kennedy as a bee!
We always dreamed of our weddings, and having kids together. It has been fun living out those dreams now. Our friendship is easy. No drama! We don’t compare our friendship to others. We know what we have is special, and I think that is one of the reasons, that has made our friendship last. We always pick up where we left off, whether it has been a day, or a few weeks. I love that!
I found an old card she wrote me on my 15th birthday. It closed like this. “I hope we’ll still be friends even when we have grey hair, our teeth are sitting in a glass jar on our nightstand, and we have to wear X-tra control top panty-hoes. I love you lots, and lots, and lots!” And yes Sarah, I think it is safe to say we will still be friends when we are wearing control top panty hose! Thanks for being such a dear friend.
Actual card she gave me. Here is to 20 more years!!!
We sang Leaning On The Everlasting Arms.
